  • 1 pound raw shrimp shells removed (tails can be left on if desired)
  • 1/4 cup purple onion finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced or finely chopped
  • 1 fresh red chili finely chopped,
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon scallions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce


  • Warm a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 Tbsp. oil and swirl around, then add the onion, garlic, fresh red chili . Stir-fry 2-3 minutes, or until the spices are fragrant and the onion have softened.

  • Add the prepared the shrimp. and the salt, sugar and soy saucea. stirring gently to incorporate. Stir-fry 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and plump.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. add the scallions.Enjoy!
