These roasted mushrooms are drizzled with a garlic and butter, then baked at high heat until tender. A super easy side dish that always gets rave reviews ! Serve these as a side dish next to Chicken Marinade !

Mushrooms have to be one of my favourite foods and they make for some of the best side dishes like these roasted mushrooms in a browned butter, garlic and sauce! This recipe is super easy, you just roast the mushrooms, brown some butter, throw in the garlic and then toss the roasted mushrooms in the sauce! You really can’t go wrong with mushrooms, garlic and butter and browning the butter only makes things better with the slightly nutty flavour and aroma that comes from browning it.

HOW DO YOU MAKE ROASTED MUSHROOMS?
This recipe starts with whole mushrooms, you can choose whatever variety you like. I typically use button or cremini mushrooms. The mushrooms are coated in a savory mixture of garlic, butter, olive oil and herbs, and then they go into the oven to roast.

HOW DO YOU CLEAN MUSHROOMS?
The best way to clean mushrooms is to use a damp paper towel to gently rub each mushroom. You can also rinse your mushrooms in a colander, but be sure to rinse them briefly; do not soak them in water.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mushrooms button, cremini, or other, cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Green onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Toss the mushrooms in the oil, salt and pepper, place on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in a preheated 400F/200C oven until they start to caramelize, about 20 minutes, mixing half way through.
  • Cook the butter over medium heat until it starts to turn a nice hazelnut brown, remove from heat and mix in the garlic, Green onion and lemon juice.
  • Toss the roasted mushrooms in the browned butter and season with salt and pepper to taste!
